Revstone MPI cold extrudes products from coil steel and other materials through the fineblanking process - a high-precision, near-net process utilizing cold-forming that creates precision parts, reducing the need for machining.  Fineblanking is ideal for close tolerance applications requiring parts with square, smooth edges to ensure proper functionality.  With this expertise, Revstone MPI develops engineered solutions to produce metal products for a variety of industries at a lower cost.

Revstone 4Slides produces "manufactured connection" products from coil steel and other metals through engineered, progressive dies and fourslide machine technology.  The Company manufactures and assembles its engineered parts with over 23 multi-forming machines, in addition to designing and building its own tools and progressive dies.  Revstone 4Slides' unique technology provides a competitive advantage in the market place.  It has developed patented proprietary fastening devices which are used universally in the automotive industry.

4-20-12 Metavation FREQ - Changing the Damper Design Paradigm with Computer Technology

Metavation LLC, one of North America’s leading crankshaft damper manufacturers and a member of the Revstone Transportation Group, continues to develop engineering software that eliminates the trial and error process of torsional vibration damper design. The latest addition, Frequency Response by Eigenvalue Quantification (FREQ – pronounced “freak”), utilizes numerical equations to optimize the mode-shapes and modal-frequencies of dampers. The program ranks all available solutions within design thresholds and selects the best solution based upon desirability parameters that are accepted throughout the industry. A process that would normally take weeks to complete can now be accomplished in a matter of seconds.

FREQ’s simplicity, speed and robustness, drawing on over 40 years of Metavation’s damper design experience, make it unique in its class. Metavation engineers used empirically tested design equations to develop a system that not only delivers the best solutions, but also saves time and money in the design phase. FREQ also allows Metavation to quickly provide customers with design alternatives in what-if scenarios, even after a product is already in the field.

In 2007, Metavation introduced MADDO, the software program that has become the industry leader in damper design and development. In addition to regular upgrades, MADDO continues to evolve by consolidating historical information into databases used by the software and incorporating Finite Element Analysis as a part of its repertoire. FREQ furthers the capabilities of MADDO by allowing engineers to design dual, triple and even quadruple mode dampers using a single mass instead of the traditional multi-mass design. This is now accomplished while adding minimal cost to the end product.

Metavation's Chief Engineer, Suhale Manzoor, developed this technology to enhance the company's position as the technology leader within its area of expertise. Today, with MADDO and FREQ in its design toolkit, Metavation possesses the unique ability to design the most efficient and effective crankshaft and driveline dampers that significantly improve the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) characteristics of a vehicle.

1-12-2011 REVSTONE ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF NEW FABRICATION & STAMPING AND MAGNESIUM DIE CASTING FACILITIES

Chihuahua, Mexico - Revstone Industries, LLC announced today its purchase of a magnesium die casting facility in Chihuahua, Mexico from Compass Automotive Group, LLC, and the addition of a fabrication and stamping facility to its campus in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The magnesium casting facility will operate under Revstone’s Cast Metals Group as Revstone Chihuahua, LLC. The fabrication and stamping facility will operate under Revstone’s Formed Metals Group as part of Revstone SLP, LLC.

Both new operations will further Revstone’s strategy to significantly increase its presence in Mexico and will complement the company’s existing precision machining and assembly capabilities already in operation at San Luis Potosi (102,000 sq. ft.). Said Robert Carney, President of Revstone Mexico, “With the addition of these two plants, we are continuing to live up to our commitment to our customers to be a reliable supplier of a wide range of engineered solutions on a global level.”

Revstone Chihuahua’s facility houses five die casting presses ranging from 600 tons to 1,200 tons, a hydraulic trim press, an overhead bridge crane, a spectrometer, and other valuable die casting equipment. In the near future, three 1,200-ton machines will be installed.

The new state of the art fabrication and stamping facility (120,000 sq. ft.) will initially house 11 progressive and transfer presses (ranging in size from 400 tons to 800 tons), robotic welding and tube & plate laser cutting machines, and other related fabrication equipment. Further capabilities to include fineblanking will be announced at a later date. Operations are scheduled to begin in June of this year.
